In 2013, I received my certification in Web Technologies. It mainly involved training in Web Design, PHP Web Development and MySQL. In addition, I also received training with Photoshop, Audio/Visual Technology and SEO Optimization. All of this training followed experience I had gained in Website Management three years earlier. Collectively, many of these skills and accumulated knowledge have been passed onto other indivuduals from time to time as I am also a certified instructor. Before returning to computing, I taught overseas twice: 2 1/2 years in Japan and 4 months in the UAE. I teach online and in person.

PHP/MySQL Development

In 1996, I graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in Computer Information Technologies. This included training in database technologoies that helped me years later when I completed BCIT's PHP & MySQL course (97%). Delivering dynamic websites today not only requires experience/knowledge in Web Design (front-end). It also requires Website Development experience/knowledge with relational databases (back-end). From 2008-20010, I did both PHP & MySQL development, duplicating functionality that was part of PlentyofFish. All membership style sites require user entry and front-end & back-end functionaility.
