ACCOMMODATION

Finding accommodation in Vancouver is relatively easy. A search on the internet will result in at least 175 hotels. Some are over $100 per night, so it is best to determine what range of prices is reasonable to you and narrow down your search based on what you CAN afford. There are acccommodations for as low as $65 per night (Bread and Breakfasts) and accommodation as high as $298 per night. The closer one gets to downtown Vancouver, the more expensive the accommodation seems to get. It is our recommendation that you check out the bread and breakfasts category and avoid the high-end hotels listed. But if you want to check them out, they are listed here:

Hotels In Vancouver

Wedgewood Hotel ($298) Sylvia Hotel ($189)
Hampton Inn ($210) Georgian Court Hotel ($205)
Days Inn ($160) Sheraton Hotels & Resorts ($174)

You can stay in a hotel, bread and breakfast or a hostel in Vancouver. Staying at a hostel in Vancouver is an affordable way to travel, but not as private as the options set forth above. The younger generation will venture here, as will those who are older, but there is always a noise factor with low-end accommodation. If you can stay with a friend, do so.

Note that not all accommodation is in Vancouver. As shown above, the Happy Day Inn is in Burnaby. The prices for accommodation, however, are not listed. In some cases, it is best to phone and ask for a quote based on the number of days you are staying ... at any accommodation. Remember: not all prices are fixed.
